NOPR
What is the NOPR? In May 2006, Medicare launched a separate program allowing all oncologic indications not currently reimbursable under Medicare to be covered under a study program, called the Medicare PET Registry (NOPR).
Who is eligible? Medicare beneficiaries; including those with conventional Medicare coverage and those with Medicare HMO coverage.
*If the patient is insured through Medicare HMO, an authorization request would be required though the managing medical group.
